Feed Formulation

Managed by Keith Fleetwood, Kreamer Feed has the capacity to produce and deliver over 150,000 tons per year of specialized animal feeds. Sixty years of experience and educated personnel enable us to satisfy the needs and demands of different customers and animal species.

We invest an average of $200,000 per year in our plant and equipment continually improving our process and capabilities. In 1998 we replaced our information and accounting systems. In 1999 we invested in new steel ingredient bins and a new rail and truck receiving system. Our quality control program exceeds FDA and PDA regulations. Ingredients and feeds samples are continually monitored for nutrient specifications and samples are retained for up to twelve months for each lot of feed manufactured and each lot delivered. Our commercial facility is approved for the inclusion of series 1900 drugs for the prevention and treatment of animal diseases. Our technical staff is capable of recommending the proper diet to improve the health of your animals, regardless of the species.

Our Feed can be specifically designed to your requests or we can design a diet based on our experience and knowledge of the species. From chicks, to rabbits or dairy, we can give you the quality you expect for your animals whether they are pets or high performance animals. Nature's Best Organic Feeds are manufactured in a certified organic mill adjacent to our conventional mill. We currently have over forty organic formulas on file for many species. Poultry Marketing

Kreamer Feed actually owns no animals. Our affiliate, BJE Farm Contract Production, is one of Kreamer Feeds largest customers. We market and subsequently produce almost any type of poultry exactly to the customers specifications. We own and operate eighteen poultry houses. Our additional fifty growers provide the best facilities and care. We have grown Pekin ducks, silkies, turkeys, Cornish, and many other small and large quantities of poultry. We are currently growing muscoveys, emden and Chinese geese, guineas, laying pullets, breeders, squabs, roasters, capons, kosher, antibiotic-free, free-range, organic, halal and commercial meat birds and layers. Our 1999 total of these specialty poultry items exceeds 30 million pounds. Our housing is state of the art. Our producers are well paid and willing to expand if the market demands it. William Robinson is our primary contact for poultry inquiries. We also have a customer with a large poultry processing plant who will process special orders.

Farm Production and Livestock Marketing

As with Poultry Marketing, we have decades of experience producing all types of animal products. We own and operate over 1200 acres on 14 farms in Central Pennsylvania, three of which are certified organic. We have been involved in every type of beef, sheep and hog operation. From the selection and breeding to finishing and marketing, we have the expertise.

We are exploring the goat business as well as organic lamb and beef production. Our president William D. (Billy) Robinson and our sales person, Steve Smelter are helping many of our customers with their livestock marketing. Steve is currently encouraging the small dairy farmers to convert to organic milk production. We feed approximately 500 cows in our area certified for organic milk production so the producers can negotiate with the milk processors. We have access to a small USDA slaughter house adjacent to our farms for any processing for growers who prefer to sell their own.
